Ballybrack Football Club, with its establishment in 1975, has established itself as an essential pillar of the local community. However, its roots go even further back to 1972 when it first emerged as KBL FC, representing the areas of Killiney, Ballybrack, and Loughlinstown. The club underwent was rebranded as Ballybrack Boys FC in 1975. More recently, recognizing the incredible talent and participation of girls within the club, it proudly took on the name Ballybrack FC, embracing inclusivity and diversity. The club’s journey is a testament to its resilience and commitment to fostering a sense of community through the beautiful game.

Today, Ballybrack FC boasts an impressive presence with 13 teams competing in the Dublin and District School League (DDSL) as well as the South Dublin Football League. The club provides football opportunities for boys and girls of all skill levels, nurturing young talent from the ages of seven to 18 in the areas of Ballybrack, Loughlinstown, Cabinteely, and Shankill.

Matches are held at Coolevin on both Saturdays and Sundays, offering the community a chance to come together and support their local team. The football club’s facilities are open five nights a week and on weekends.

With a membership once exceeding 300 children, Ballybrack FC is a vibrant and thriving community hub. The club’s dedication to youth development is showcased through its Ballybrack Tigers program, catering specifically to children aged 5 to 7 years old.

As a testament to its commitment to community engagement, Ballybrack F.C. hosts an annual mini World Cup tournament, bringing together children from the local area for a celebration of the beautiful game.
