Ballybrack Football Club Code of Conduct

For Players

  1. Respect and adhere to the rules and regulations of the club, as well as those of the sport.
  2. Display good sportsmanship and fair play at all times.
  3. Treat teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and supporters with respect and courtesy.
  4. Attend training sessions and matches regularly, and inform the team manager in advance if unable to attend.
  5. Give your best effort during training and matches, and always strive to improve your skills.
  6. Accept both victories and defeats with grace and humility.
  7. Follow the instructions and guidance of the team manager and coaching staff.
  8. Maintain a positive attitude, and avoid engaging in any form of verbal or physical abuse.
  9. Take care of the equipment and facilities provided by the club.
  10. Represent Ballybrack Football Club with pride and integrity both on and off the field.

For Parents

  1. Encourage and support your child’s participation in the sport, emphasizing enjoyment and personal development. The game is for youth, not adults.
  2. Respect the decisions of the coaches and officials, and refrain from coaching or criticizing players during matches.
  3. Avoid negative or abusive behavior towards players, coaches, officials, or other parents.
  4. Promote good sportsmanship and fair play by demonstrating positive behavior on and off the field.
  5. Ensure your child arrives on time for training sessions and matches, and notify the team manager in case of absence.
  6. Provide your child with the necessary equipment and ensure they are dressed appropriately for training and matches.
  7. Maintain open and respectful communication with the team manager regarding any concerns or issues.
  8. Respect the rights and privacy of other players, coaches, and parents.
  9. Encourage your child to exhibit good behavior and to respect the values of the club.
  10. Support and promote a safe and inclusive environment for all players and participants.

For Managers

  1. Lead by example and promote the values of fair play, respect, and sportsmanship.
  2. Treat all players, officials, and opponents with fairness, dignity, and respect.
  3. Create a positive and inclusive team environment where all players feel valued and encouraged.
  4. Provide equal opportunities for all players, regardless of their abilities or background.
  5. Organize regular training sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and fair play.
  6. Communicate effectively and respectfully with players, parents, club officials, and other stakeholders.
  7. Promote good sportsmanship and fair play both on and off the field.
  8. Maintain accurate records of matches, attendance, and player performance.
  9. Ensure the safety and welfare of the players by adhering to relevant health and safety guidelines.
  10. Continually strive to improve both your coaching skills and knowledge of the game.
